Recently, radio access technologies for the fifth generation (5G) in higher frequency bands have been extensively studied. The authors have proposed APAA-MIMO (Active Phased Array Antenna-MIMO) configuration combined APAA and digital MIMO processing. Based on the outdoor fundamental experiment trial at 44GHz band, this report shows channel capacity and frequency efficiency of APAA-MIMO with several antenna configurations, the distance among sub arrays, the number of stream, and the number of receive antenna. |
