[Poster Presentation] Adiabatic direct control of vibrational quantum states of an ion

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page) 
(in English) Ion trap as a candidate for realizing a quantum information processing. In addition to the quantum computation using the internal state of the ions, even quantum information processing using phonon has begun attention. In this study, by using only the electrode in the trap, the operation of the phonon of 40Ca+ in the linear Paul trap went adiabatically directly. Simply control the linear phonon than by interaction with light are also possible.
