SPBM (Shortest Path Bridging MAC) is expected to support future wide area Ethernet networks. SPBM has no limitation of network topology because of its automatically configured routing. In addition, SPBM has high reliability because of its high-speed path switching. However, parameter setting with traditional methods can make traffic load to overlap on a certain link, which degrades user accommodation in networks. We propose a new parameter setting method which maximizes user accommodation in SPBM networks. We confirmed the load balancing performance of the proposed method with computer simulation |
