In the previous paper, the authors have discussed the practical Massive MIMO system in LOS environment where the base station with massive antenna is assumed to be set up on the upper side of service area for 5G small cell. In the case, effective use of the First-Eigen-mode can be one of the most promising solutions. In this paper, we investigate the characteristics of the First-Eigen-mode transmission in LOS environment and propose the efficient channel feedback method based on the feature. In general, the overhead resulting from the channel feedback deteriorate the MAC efficiency with increase of the number of transmitter and receiver antennas. The proposed channel feedback method can solve the problem and it is consistent with 5G scenario in which the number of accommodated users per BS becomes larger compared with 4G. |
