Spoken Term Detection based on Phoneme Error Pattern Training using DNN

(in English) This report describes a novel spoken term detection framework based on a Deep Neural Network (DNN)-based correct phoneme estimation from phoneme sequences outputted by multiple automatic speech recognition (ASR) systems. Recently, a phoneme estimation (recognition) is generally performed by using a DNN that outputs posterior probabilities for phonemes when acoustic feature parameters are inputted to the DNN. Different from the typical DNN estimation, our DNN-based phoneme estimation approach is to use output patterns of phonemes by multiple ASR systems as input features to DNN. The characteristic of our method enables more improvement of the ASR performance of a start-of-the-art DNN-Hidden Markov Model-based ASR system because our method uses a perfectly different type of the input features to a DNN. The DNN-based correct phoneme estimator was applied to the STD tasks. Experimental results showed that the DNN-based approach achieved improvement of the STD performance compared with the one based on the confidential random field (CRF)-based STD approach we have already proposed.
