On the Decoding Problem of Algebraic Codes over Symbol-Pair Read Channels

(in English) In this paper, we discuss a decoding problem of algebraic codes over symbol-pair read channels.
The channels output overlapping pairs of symbols in storage applications.
Pair distance and pair error are used in the channels.
In this paper, we focus on decoding of BCH codes over the symbol-pair read channels, and propose how to correct two pair errors by algebraic method.
First, we define a polynomial that represents positions of pair error as error-location polynomial and a polynomial that represents positions of pairs of received pair vector in conflict as conflict-location polynomial.
Then, we show a relationship between these polynomials and syndromes.
Finally, we provide how to correct pair errors by solving simultaneous equations including the relational expression by algebraic method.
