In this paper, we designed a considerate guidance framework of servicing a users' group for an autonomous guiding robot. In our system, we permit the users' group to decide the way that they want to be guided. By integrating the effect of different factors (goal, users and other objects), the robot adjusts its motion to maintain the relative distance and provide the users with freedom to move as their desire. Instead of changing the motion states of the robot case by case, our framework makes the robot automatically adjust its motion and generate the following and guiding modes to be considerate and provide better quality guiding service. The simulation and experimental results show that our framework can automatically generate suitable motion patterns to provide guiding service, and finish the guidance task in a considerate way. |
