We succeeded to prepare Bi2.5Nd0.5Fe5-yGayO12 thin films on Gd3Ga5O12 (GGG) substrates by metal organic decomposition (MOD) method, and we also succeeded to control the magnetic anisotropy of Bi2.5Nd0.5Fe5-yGayO12 thin films by varying the amount of Ga substitution for Fe. In this paper, we also report on effects of lattice mismatching and residual stresses due to the difference between thermal expansion coefficients of Nd0.5Bi2.5Fe4GaO12 thin films and GGG substrates. |
