We demonstrated a bacterial pollution in metal parts of magnet gear pump which was observed the metal corrosions. In this present report, we compared the bacterial number of Pseudomonas aeruginosa when it was incubated in a dialysis fluid with or without corrosion attached metal parts. Markedly difference was observed between the corrosion contaminated condition in metal parts or not. Bacterial number of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was increased in a corrosion contaminated condition. From these observations, the authors concluded that the demonstrated results might be indicated a possibility of bacterial contamination in dialysis fluid due to microbial flora on the corrosion surface. |
