A Study on Selection of Peak Detection Threshold of Peak Cancellation for OFDM Signals

(in English) In orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM),
the reduction of high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) is a challenging problem.
Recently, an adaptive peak cancellation was proposed to reduce
the transmitted signal's PAPR,
while keeping the out-of-band leakage power (ACLR) as well as an in-band distortion
power (EVM) below the predetermined and permissible value.
This paper discuss the selection of peak detection threshold to meet the above EVM and ACLR requirements. Simulation proved that the peak amplitude of the signal is minimized under restrictions of EVM and ACLR by selecting the optimum peak detection threshold.
