In the case of human health care, many types of radio sensors are considered to put inside human body. For this purpose, Normal-Mode Helical Antenna (NMHA) are promising because of having electric and magnetic current sources simultaneously. Design method of very small NMHA was already developed by authors. In this paper, electrical performances of NMHA in a human body condition are examined. First, antenna structural data for self-resonant operations are clarified. Next, electrical characteristics such as input resistances, VSWR characteristics and radiation characteristics are studied. Because radiation power is reduced very much by conductivity of material, estimations by a simple equation is made. |
