A meal menu recommendation system based on the Bayesian network inference modeling intuitive elements

Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) We are intuitive to determine the diet menu that we want to eat in a restaurant, in consideration of their own situation (mood, physical condition) and the time zone. However, although judged by our intuition, we would feel with the selected menu which was not expected. We sometimes regret that it was to choose the other menu. In this paper, we propose a meal menu recommendation system that supports with determining menu from intuition elements of the human being felt in determining the meal menu. We extract intuition elements that perceive at the time of the determination of the menu meal. Then, they are reasoning in Bayesian network. The inference result is acquired as a collective knowledge base. The knowledge base has been integrated into a web system. We have evaluated the effectiveness by using the proposed system at the on-campus restaurant in Soka University.
