Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In recent years, performance of mobile devices and quality of content is getting richer and it becomes important to realize energy-efficient video delivery. In this paper, we introduce an energy consumption model of client devices in video streaming based on playout buffering strategy over NDN (Named Data Networking) and carry out experiments in order to verify the model. We evaluate energy consumption of devices in video streaming according to playout buffering strategies and achieved at most 37% and 34% power-saving effects for the proposed model and actual devices, respectively.
