Relationship Between Antenna Configuration and Radiation Characteristics of Corner Reflector Antenna Composed of Frequency Selective Reflector

(in English) Multi-band antennas have been popularly used as base station antennas for mobile communications systems. We have proposed a reflector backed dipole antenna using frequency selective reflector (FSR) which can integrate 3.5 GHz band antenna to the existing base station antenna. This paper investigates a corner reflector antenna using FSR as the reflector in order to properly adjust the beam width of the antenna to each service area. The influence on radiation characteristic by the dipole antenna position and the number of horizontal direction elements is investigated by electromagnetic field analysis and measurement.
