In this paper, the broadband characteristics of the integrated noise filters by an inductance cancellation technique for various capacitors ( a 2-terminal capacitor, a 3-terminal capacitor) are investigated. The integrated noise filter consists of a capacitor and a coupled air-core magnetic coil. The coupled magnetic coil provides an inductance cancellation effect for the parasitic inductance both of the capacitors and wires. The attenuation effect of the integrated filters analyzed by an electromagnetic field analysis is verified by a measurement of fabricated filters. The shapes of the coupled coils are designed using electromagnetic field analysis to obtain the highest attenuation effect of the integrated filter up to 1GHz. The attenuation effect of the integrated filters using various capacitor with coupled magnetic coil are compared with that of filters using various capacitor without a coupled coil. The inductance cancellation effect of the integrated filter both with the 2-terminal capacitor and the coupled coil is higher than that of the integrated filter both with the 3-terminal capacitor and the coupled coil.The attenuation effect of the integrated filter both with the 2-terminal capacitor and the coupled coil is higher than that of the filter with the 3-terminal capacitor only, and is compatible with that of the integrated filter both with the 3-terminal capacitor and the coupled coil. |
