| (in English) | Speech rate conversion (SRC) is a technique that converts playback speed of speeches while maintaining the vocal pitches. Utterances slowed down by SRC have effects on impaired hearers such as the elderly and non-native language learners for better understanding. However, still remain problems in real-time conversations where participants have difficulties to turn-take due to the time lag between speaker’s utterance end time and hearer’s listening end time. As a countermeasure of the problems our previous work proposed to use “voice feedback”, that is insertion of speaker's loopback voice for him/her at turn-taking. It shows voice feedback method has effects on the speaker for perceiving the counterpart's listening end time[3], However, no measures are employed on hearers’ side so that hearer who want to talk next perceives speaker’s utterance end. Unlike the previous study we proposed a system introducing visual feedback functions on the SRC conversation system that can share the listening end time information for facilitating turn-takings. In this report we show system configuration and experimental results. | |
