The experimental apparatus that is able to set opening velocity at wide-range of 1-200mm/s with an equal speed was used in this test. The experiments are carried out under the closed contact current in 10A and the source voltage in DC200, 300, and 500V. The arc voltage and current waveforms at the Ni and Cu contacts breaking were observed. As a result, it can be made clear that the arc duration and the arc energy become short and small respectively in inverse proportion to opening velocity. That is, it was clarified to hardly receive the influence of the contact material. |
