In an entangled system between continuous variables and discrete variables, a coherent superposition is formed by a measurement of the discrete systems. Such superposition state can be controlled by an initial state of the continuous variables, an initial state and a measurement basis of the discrete variables and a magnitude of the entanglement. In this paper, firstly, we briefly explain the method of entanglement preparation between continuous variables and discrete variables using conditional rotations and conditional displacements. Moreover, we show that when a distance between two states in the superposition in phase space, such superposition state can be regarded as an arbitrary quadrature squeezed state or a single photon state. |
