This report describes the experimental performance of higher-frequency bands which is expected to apply to future wireless communication systems, e.g. 5G. In particular, we focus on the effect of human bodies and measure the transmission performance of 5GHz and 26GHz in two situations. First, the performance is evaluated in a static environment with one human body. In the evaluation, we show that 26GHz band is easily influenced by human body. However, if human body exists, it can obtain stable received power by reflected waves. Second, we evaluate performances under a crowed indoor environment. It is found that the average throughput of 26GHz can maintain the performance if some human bodies sparsely exist. On the other hand, the performance is degraded by received power loss and higher error rate if human bodies densely exist. As the result, the average throughput of 26GHz decreases about 47.2% in the crowded indoor environment. |
