QoE and Throughput Aware Radio Resource Allocation Algorithm in LTE Network with Users using Different Applications
Takahiro Hori, Tomoaki Ohtsuki (Keio Univ.) RCS2016-80
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In this paper, we present a quality of experience (QoE) and throughput aware radio resource allocation algorithm for the long term evolution (LTE) network. The algorithm has two steps. The purpose of step 1 is to allocate resources dynamically to achieve minimum QoE for each user. The purpose of the second step is to dynamically allocate resources to improve system throughput, while maintaining user's QoE. Our results show that our proposed algorithm achieves a higher QoE than conventional quality of service (QoS)-based algorithms. In addition, it achieves a higher throughput than the conventional QoE-based algorithm.
