Development of Synapses in Neural Networks using a-IGZO Thin Films

(in English) Neural networks are information processing models based on human brains, which have been actively studied. However, in order to perform advanced learning of the neural networks in hardware, high integration is necessary. Therefore, we decided to use the IGZO thin films that have high mobility even if they are fabricated by a low-temperature process among the thin film materials that can be highly integrated. By making a cross-point type of synapse this time, a study was conducted to create a large number of synapses on a single substrate. Moreover, since memristor characteristics were observed, experiments for measuring memristor characteristics were also conducted.
