Recently, autonomous cars have attracted attention as a development of driving assistance system.Autonomous cars can perform autonomous driving with the detection lanes and obstacles by using equipped sensors and radars. However, it is desired to obtain information from surrounding vehicles to improve safety of autonomous driving since there is a limit in the information obtained only from the own vehicle. In addition, some information obtained from autonomous cars might be useful for manual driven cars, for example, traffic information and the turn signal. In addition, vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) has been proposed as a method for vehicles to obtain information from surrounding vehicles by wireless communication among them.In this presentation, we propose a VANET routing protocol that constructs routes around autonomous cars, assuming a situation where autonomous driving is popular.Furthermore, autonomous cars broadcast some of their information to the manual driven cars to share the useful information. We evaluate to confirm the impact of the proposed method in terms of data transfer efficiency using simulation. |
