A Study on Diversified Group Organization in Online Elderly Watching System of Local Community

Lately, the problem in caring the elderly appears because of rapid aging of the population resulting from the decline in the birth rate, and elder people living alone are increasing. Against this background, the authors advocate a new network for watching the elderly in local community network. In this network, a group for watching the elderly is designed in the local community and the watchers communicate with the elderly by communicating messages using Online Social Networks (e.g. Facebook and Twitter) platform. Because several people watch the elderly in the group, this network has the following two benefits: providing the elderly with carefully watching, and reducing the watcher's mental and physical burdens. In this paper, we study diversified group organization for watching the elderly in the local community network. This organization is inspired by Genetic Algorithm, and is able to organize appropriate groups for watching the elderly. |
