Optimal Resource Allocation Considering Carrier Aggregation and Backhaul Link for Heterogeneous Networks

(in English) In this paper, for Heterogeneous networks (HetNet) where multiple cells are included in an area, we
propose an optimal resource allocation considering dual connectivity and traffic load on backhaul links. In the
proposed method, two optimization problems are constructed; one is for determining the allocation of a base station
and frequency slots to each user, and the other is for determining routes for each traffic in backhal. We derive a
solution for these problems, and the solution for the first problem is used for the second problem. The allocation
of frequency slots and routes for each traffic in backhaul can be determined by solving the optimization problems.
We evaluate the performance of the proposed method in three types of topologies with simulation, and we compare
its performance with that of another method. Numerical examples show that by using the proposed method, the
amount of traffic is increased by allocating the frequency slots to users with dual connectivity and the maximum
link load can be decreased by using routing traffic appropriately.
