Reliability Consideration of a communication System with a High-performance and Flexible Protocol

(in English) High-performance and Flexible Protocol (HpFP) has been proposed in a communication protocol. HpFP has been realized highly transmission efficiency in communication protocol. We have discussed a stochastic model of a window flow control scheme with HpFP. That is, if retransmission from a packet loss has been occurred at k times, a packet transmission interval is prolonged. Further, we have applied the Selective Repeat ARQ to the protocol for data transmission. On the other hand, in addition to the Selective Repeat ARQ, there are the Go-Back-N ARQ on error-control method for packet transmission. The Go-Back-N ARQ is low transmission efficiency by comparison with the Selective Repeat ARQ but it does not need complicated processing on data transmission. This paper applies the Go-Back-N ARQ on error-control method for packet transmission and discusses a stochastic model of a window flow control scheme with HpFP.
