In order to perform optimum irrigation control in soil cultivation, it is necessary to estimate the water stress of plant non-invasively. As a way to do this, we focus on the change in natural frequency of leaf, and we found so far that the natural frequency of the leaves changes diurnally. That is, when the water is sufficient, the natural frequency decreases at night and increases during the day, but when wilting starts, the decrease occurs not at night but during the day. Although a laser displacement sensor or a high speed camera was used for these measurements, it is thought to be possible to measure them using a normal CCD camera. In this paper, we report the result of verifying that it is possible. |
