Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In Japan, the number of elderly people killed while riding bicycles is the largest, and elderly people's efforts to prevent bicycle traffic accidents are an important issue. Past research has been investigating factors causing traffic accidents of the elderly in the virtual space using the cycling simulator (CS), but all the movement of the car was controlled by the computer, so only the human factor on the bicycle side can be investigated. In this research, in order to investigate the causes of traffic accidents caused by mutual mistakes between the bicycle side and the car side, we developed a new car driving simulator (DS) equipped with HMD and connected to the existing CS via the network and evaluate it.
