Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) A short-slot 2-plane coupler, which combines short-slot H-plane and E-plane coupler into one body has been proposed. In this paper, we propose an analysis method by the mode matching/FEM hybrid analysis for the wideband design of the short-slot 2-plane coupler and show its effectiveness. For the analysis, we reduce the analysis model into the one-eighth model by using the three-dimensional structural symmetry. The computed results agree well with those by the HFSS and the computation time is reduced compared to the analysis of the HFSS.
