When extracting a digital watermark from a captured image by a camera and a defocus blur happens, the watermark may not be extracted due to the blur. Therefore, this study attempts to design a coded aperture for extracting digital watermark from defocus blurred images. The proposed method adopts a genetic algorithm to automatically design a coded aperture that preserves frequency components including the watermark. Experimental results showed that the coded aperture designed by the proposed method allowed extracting the watermark in a wider depth range. |
