User Authentication Keeping Method Using Watch Type Devices -- Case of Acceleration Sensors --

(in English) Wearable devices are going to be popular in near future. These devices also can be used in user authentications. In these case, to wear these devices by malicious users is concerned. It is important to ensure that correct users continue to wear. In this paper, we propose a method to detect the status of detaching a wristwatch type device. The detecting method uses an acceleration sensor in the wristwatch type device. We measure output values of XYZ directions with the acceleration sensor. The proposing process is as follows; 1) get difference values of XYZ directions every moment, 2) sum up the difference values for certain times, 3) compare the sum value with the threshold. We confirmed that it is possible to detect the status of detaching the wristwatch type device by an experiment.
