High Power and Long Distance Microwave WPT using 300kW Gyrotron at 28GHz

(in English) A Gyrotron, as high power millimeter wave oscillator, is used in various fields such as CVD, medical application, and spectral source. In this study, we used 28 GHz 300 kW-class Gyrotron as power source of Wireless Power Transfer by millimeter wave. The power is transmitted at a distance of 1m through dielectrics. We regard attenuation by dielectric as attenuation by diffusion. The efficiency of a rectenna is 46.8% and maximum output power is 102mW. 5x5 rentennas are used in the experiment and total output is expected about 2.5W.
