In the spinal cord, there is a neural network called CPG, which generates and controls rhythm movement such as walking. In recent years, researches on robots that perform locomotion suitable for the environment are being conducted by engineering application of the function of CPG. Although the CPG model we proposed previously can output low frequencies with low capacity by an intervening cell model, it is necessary to reduce the mounting area in order to cascade the neuron models with dozens of stages.
In this paper, we investigated the area reduction of the intercellular cell n model using the bursting neuron model, and as a result, it is possible to reduce the packaging area by 77% compared to the conventional model by controlling the discharge current by the burst neuron model. We also clarified that by constructing the CPG model based on the constructed intercellular cell model, it is possible to generate and transfer a walking pattern of a quadrupedal walking animal similarly to the conventional intercellular cell model. |
