Bandstop Filter Using Meander Loop Resonator with Folded Open Stub

(in English) A miniaturization of the wireless devices is demanded due to the development of wireless communication. In particular, various methods to miniaturize the microwave filter have been actively reported. In this study, we propose a small-size and high-order bandstop filter. The proposed structure has a meander loop resonator with the folded open stubs. Its advantage is to effectively utilize the substrate area as multistage design. Since the slope parameter can be handled by tightly coupling the open stubs with the meander loop resonator, the steep skirt characteristics are achieved. The experimental result shows the attenuation level of more than 85 dB and 16.3-dB reflection loss in the passband. We developed the bandstop filter that meets the specifications of the Microwave Circuit Design Universiade 2017.
