[Special Talk] Realization of High Attenuation in Stopband by Elliptic Function Type HPF -- Characteristic Improvement by Shield Case --

(in English) In this study, elliptic function type High-pass filter(HPF) with high attenuation characteristic in the stopband is designed and fabricated for HPF department in the microwave circuit design universiade 2017. The proposed HPF is configured using a chip capacitor in the series part and a microstrip line in the shunt part based on the 13th-order elliptic function type HPF, and frequency characteristics are confirmed using an electromagnetic field simulator. Futhermore, it is analyzed the structure of HPF including shield case and considered the possibility of improving the stopband characteristics by the structure of shield case. Finally, the HPF is fabricated using substrate processing machine. The experimental results are satisfied the specification for microwave circuit design universiade 2017 and realized the attenuation characteristic of the minimum value 78.0 dB in the stopband.
