Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, the researches on platooning have received lots of attentions due to its potential to improve the fuel efficiency and driving experience. A platoon is a group of vehicles that can travel very closely together by autonomously following the leading human-driven vehicle. Frequent and reliable inter-vehicle communication is essential for keeping the platoon stable and thus guarantee the safety. In this paper, by considering the real vehicular engine model, we investigate the relationship between beacon interval and inter-vehicle distance in a braking scenario.
