Super-resolution using deep convolutional neural networks (SRCNN) was proposed by Dong et al. in 2014. SRCNN has also been applied to medical images such as X-ray images. Though the effectiveness of SRCNN has been demonstrated for natural images and X-ray images, it remains unclear for images with a large amount of noise. In this study, we evaluated the feasibility of SRCNN for MRI images that often have a large amount of noise. We applied SRCNN to MRI images, for which a certain amount of noise was added artificially, and confirmed that SRCNN successfully generated high-PSNR images. |
