Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) Recently, the Human-robot collaborative environment, shows signs of spread in the machine safety field. With conventional machine safety, we have secured safety based on the principle of "isolation and stop". It means that human can not enter the inside of guard when machine is operating and human can enter the inside of guard to maintenance or changeover when machine is stopped. However, it is obvious that the principle of "isolation and stop" can not be applied in the Human-robot collaborative environment. Therefore, we describe the safety concept of the Human-robot collaborative safety and 3-position enabling switches as key device to achieve it.
