A Study on Theoretical System Capacity Performance of MU-MIMO THP in the Presence of Terminal Mobility

(in English) MU-MIMO Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) achieves higher system capacity than MU-MIMO linear precoding (LP) thanks to suppressing the noise enhancement. However, MU-MIMO generally suffers from transmission performance degradation due to the multi-user interference (MUI) caused by terminal mobility. In this report, we present the theoretical system capacity of MU-MIMO THP in the presence of terminal mobility. In our theoretical approach, the MUI due to terminal mobility is theoretically analyzed and its impact is incorporated into the system capacity analysis based on the mod-Λ channel. The theoretical results obtained by the proposed analysis are compared with MU-MIMO LP, which clearly demonstrate the effectiveness of the adoption of THP in the presence of terminal mobility.
