Real Time Removal of Body Motion Noise in Wearable Electrocardiogram Signal using Stationary Wavelet Transform

(in English) In recent years, along with the problem of aging population, application to the field of medical health care of wearable body area network (BAN) is expected. Especially, we focus on a monitoring of electrocardiogram (ECG) signal in daily life which aims at early detection of heart disease and the grasp of the health state. However, the problem in case of the continuous monitoring of ECG signal is the distortion of ECG signal due to the noise from body movement. Therefore, in this study, we attempted to realize real time removal of body motion noise using stationary wavelet transform. To remove body motion noise with less data, we proposed an algorithm that employed more effective wavelet function for the detection of ECG. We verified its effectiveness in comparison with our previous algorithm. Also, we constructed the system which carries out ECG signal measurement and removal of body motion noise simultaneously. As a result, we confirmed that the time required for motion noise removal was reduced from previous 8 seconds to 5 seconds. In addition, we showed the feasibility to remove body motion noise in real time by updeting data every second.
