A coaxially fed antenna with a choke structure composed of a composite right/left-handed coaxial line (CRLH CL) has been proposed. The size of the choke structure composed of the CRLH CL is miniaturized and 0.06 wavelength. In this paper, the current rejection characteristics of the choke structure composed of the CRLH CL is calculated. The current rejection characteristics of the choke structure composed of the CRLH CL is compared with that of the conventional coaxial quarter-wavelength choke structure. The choke structure composed of the CRLH CL reduces the leakage current on the outer conductor of the feeding coaxial line.
