In order to further increase throughput in the 5th generation mobile communication system, antenna systems such as Massive MIMO with setting lots of elements to both horizontal and vertical planes are studied. Designing these antenna systems effectively, the arrival angular profile at base station on not only the horizontal plane (H-plane) but also the vertical plane (V-plane) must be modelled. The arrival angular profile model on the H-plane was established, but the arrival angular profile model on the V-plane does not be established. To create the profile prediction formula on the V-plane, we carried out field measurements in various typical urban and suburban areas. In this paper, we propose the empirical arrival angular profile prediction formula on the V-plane based on the measurement data. |
