(in English) In this paper, a loop type hetero-core fiber optic vibration sensor has been evaluated with respects to frequency response characteristics and sensitivity to the amplitude of acceleration. The proposed sensor aims to be utilized for fault diagnosis of mechanical devices based on vibration monitoring, with high robustness to electromagnetic interference, temperature fluctuation, and chemical corrosions. A series of frequency-sweep and amplitude-sweep vibration tests were conducted and consequently implied that the proposed sensor had two resonant frequency in different vibration axes in frequency bands of 100-200 Hz and around 380 Hz. Furthermore, optical loss response of the vibrated sensor was found to be in good agreement with the waveform of applied sinusoidal vibration, in which the amplitude of optical loss response linearly changed with the amplitude of applied vibration, in a range except for the frequency band of 100-200 Hz.
