We envision a global optimum virtual network resource management scheme consisting of three tasks: a) proper estimation of resource demand by virtual network operators (VNOs), b) optimum amount of resource allocation in response by infrastructure provider (InP), and c) improving resource availability and utilization for future unknown demands by creating a pool of unused resources through InP-VNOs negotiation. Entrant VNOs execute task a before entry into the market to avoid exaggeration of leasing amount of resources. InP carries out task b to avoid resource over-allocation and satisfy multiple quality-of-service requirements for the resources requested by VNOs. After virtual resources are allocated and high demand scenario, the task c is executed among InP and incumbent VNOs to increase mutual utilities (profits) and resource availability for future VNO requests. We employ game theory, multi-target classification based recommendation, and incentive design for task a, b, and c, respectively. |
