Intermittent reception of emergency wake-up signal on ISDB-T digital television broadcasting using TMCC parity disagreements
Satoshi Takahashi (Hiroshima City Univ.) CS2018-62
Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In the ISDB-T digital television, there is a mechanism for automatically wake up the receiver to tune and show the news program in response to a special signal from the broadcaster in case of emergency. Meanwhile, a mobile receiver needs to catch the emergency signal with a lower power consumption. Based on the mutual information amount that mobile receivers would be able to obtain, we consider the trade-off between low-power consumption with intermittent reception and more reliable emergency signal reception in this report.
