| (in English) | We estimate the distribution of hyperparameters corresponding to the coupling constant and noise in- tensity from an Ising type binary image with observation noise. For the estimation of the hyperparameters of a binary image, the point estimation method has been used with approximations, including mean field approximation and Bethe approximation. Since the hyperparameters usually correspond to the physical quantity of interest, it is desired to evaluate not only their values but also their confidence. We propose a statistically unbiased distribution estimation method of the hyperparameters, which doesn’t rely on the approximations, using Bayesian inference and the exchange Monte Carlo method, and show the effectiveness of our method by numerical experiments. Our method can be applied to various Ising type problems, such as binary image restoration and the lattice gas model. | |
