Medical experts have heuristically defined lung sound features and validated their relations with patients’ conditions in computer-aided analyses. Automatic extraction of such features is not easy because the sounds recorded on auscultation can be the mixture of breath and adventitious sounds of interest in both the time and frequency domains. This work seeks to improve the feature extraction of discontinuous adventitious sounds via
sparse representation-based sound separation. |
