[Invited Lecture] LOS/NLOS Received Power Characteristics by Vertical Antenna Pattern Beam Width

(in English) In this paper, we investigate the received power characteristics of LOS(Line Of Sight) and NLOS(Non LOS) regions depending on the vertical antenna pattern beam width by using the ray tracing simulation in the urban area. The base station is placed on intersection which is different street width, and the vertical and horizontal antenna patterns are Chebyshev pattern of different beam width and omni directional respectively. We calculate each CDF (Cumulative Distribution Function) 50$%$ value of the received power in LOS and NLOS areas by considering the antenna height and antenna pattern including tilt angle.
From the analysis results, in LOS, the difference of received power CDF 50% values of omni and Chebyshev patterns becomes small tend
when the base station height is high, but the difference becomes large tend in case of low base station height. Moreover, in NLOS, when the tilt angle is deeper and the base station height is lower, the difference of each CDF50% becomes small trend and that of level by beam width becomes also smaller.
