[Poster Presentation] Evaluation of velocity anisotropy in the bovine meniscus by a laser ultrasound technique

(in English) Measurements of the longitudinal wave velocities in bovine meniscus samples have been performed by using a laser ultrasound technique. The ultrasonic wave generated by the laser propagated through the samples. The velocities in the axial, radial, and tangential directions were measured. The highest velocities were found in the tangential direction, followed by the velocities in the radial and axial directions. In order to observe more detailed velocity anisotropy, the velocities of waves propagating in the directions between tangential and radial directions and between tangential and axial directions were also measured.
