A laser ultrasonic method which is one of non-destructive inspection methods has an advantage that a conventional ultrasonic pulse echo method can be realized in a non-contact manner. One of the high-speed measurements using laser ultrasonic waves is a scanning laser source technique (SLS) which scans a laser excitation source two-dimensionaly. In this research, we proposed an elastic wave source scanning method using aerial ultrasonic wave for high speed scanning excitation source. Since the proposed method uses bending vibration, the excitation region has a large influence on the visualization accuracy of the defect part. In this report, we examined the visualization accuracy of defects when the irradiation area of sound waves is varied. |
