System Wide Information Management (SWIM) concept is now discussed for the standardization of the data format and exchange protocol internationally in order to share the necessary information efficiently and safely in the area of civil aviation. In this paper, we present validation test for availability of Aeronautical Mobile Airport Communications System (AeroMACS) as a wireless media to connect the SWIM in the airport. We carried out field taxing experiments by AeroMACS and SWIM prototype system at Sendai Airport. Furthermore, we conduct validation tests of QoS (Quality of Service) function of AeroMACS for accessing to SWIM. The results show the effectiveness of AeroMACS to access to SWIM. |
